The Brightpave™ Lane Marker is a highly engineered road safety platform, featuring solar powered LED optics in a rugged form factor designed for harsh environments and ease of installation using industry available equipment. The field upgradeable design provides a path to V2X communication for autonomous vehicle safety.
Our recessed-in-pavement design practically eliminates vulnerability to damage from snowplows and high traffic roadways. Our marker can be installed in virtually any location where the sun shines!

Our design addresses all of the performance issues with previous solar LED markers, including:
- Water intrusion
- Lengthy installation time and process
- Restricted viewing angle (vertical and horizontal)
- Limited shelf life prior to installation
- Capability for in-road servicing
Our device addresses the known challenges of legacy pavement marking technologies such as:
- Rapid degradation of retroreflectivity
- Limited visibility in inclement weather conditions
- Short replacement cycles, increasing the risk associated with deployments of roadway crews
- Projectile risk of cast iron, plowable raised pavement markers
The Brightpave™ Lane Marker is produced in unidirectional and bidirectional formats with colors to match all existing roadway marking configurations. Additionally, we comply with the “Build America, Buy America” requirements for federal highway funding dollars.
